About the artist:

Melissa was raised in Fredericksburg and resides in her family home. Always an entrepreneur, her background includes businesses in photography, cosmetology, and art.  Melissa’s narrative works are in a mixed media format and often incorporate printmaking, acrylics, oil pastels, collage, inks, found objects, and photography.  She has won awards in many group exhibits, including two Best of Shows.  “Creativity is an exciting process and an idea can evolve over many years. I like to use various mediums to “build” a picture. The process of layering adds interest, drawing the viewer in to see more than just the subject matter.”
